busy bees make sweet honey....

and I'm sewing on a summer day making summer stars.   It is all SWEET!

just like bees....gals who sew love community and we  like to encourage one another even if we have never met in person. I am addicted to the sewing community on line and one blog amys creative side has been a great encouragement to me.  I love Amy's philosophy..... just do one thing and it doesn't have to be huge. She puts a challenge out there  to Take a step , set a goal to do one thing in one week,  and then get to sewing sister,  and she sends encouragement along the way...."YOU CAN DO IT"!

Sew..... this last week I jumped in for the first time on line and told the world I was participating in  Amy's creative side one thing one week challenge   even though I have been doing the one thing one week challenge on my own for months and making progress on some projects.   So it is down to the wire today but I got her done

the goal ...... 2 star blocks in one week  for the backing of a charity quilt

and here are the beautiful babes.......
the finished product.....NOT 2 but FOUR star blocks in one week

All sitting so pretty in a row I now think they should be a table runner for the Fourth of July!

actually in truth...  I finished them all just today and I even had a little helper.

But I am sticking with the plan.... they are going to add some love the the back of this charity quilt

It is now my Saddle up and Ride in the Country  Jean quilt
this quilt was inspired from some orphan blocks that needed a home.
You will find them it the top right and lower left corners in the picture below.
I think those orphan blocks will now be well loved.

Finish date.............Soon !     it needs to be ready for cuddling
by the time the Southern Iowa fair rolls around next month.

summer days are filled with much more than sewing, you know how the story goes... I need more hours in my day,

so even though it is not a huge accomplishment it is still a very SWEET thing.

I want to encourage you to add some sewing to your summer days.

Thanks Amy for your encouragement!

Thanks for stopping by.
