Alaska..... Pure and Simple

God blessed the trip

Complete with Quilt shop.

Anchorage .... You know I had to make a stop here.

Sea food heaven.....
Crab sandwich........ Absolutely delicious!

Salmon Season is here... next on the menu.

Seafood extravaganza!   Eating it every chance I get.

Buddies for life

God of Mercy and Grace watching over us every day.

Living with family for 10 days.

Challenging but still in love.

We rented a log home just outside of Seward for the week.

A mix of eating out and eating at home
Taking "Triple Taco" recipe on the road.....

Ranks right up there with sea food for this bunch
and helps on the food budget.

Everything has a pretty price tag in Alaska.

Wild roses along the Russian River....
Iowa's state flower.

Making me Feel right at home!

Picture perfect every day!

The water is cold .... the sun is hot.
Not a rainy day in sight ; )

God is Good!

click any image to enlarge ......
because the pictures are only half of  the real beauty.

Glaciers hundreds of years of ice and snow.

an American  treasure.

Working really hard on their Jr Ranger Badge.

So much excitement for this trip with cousins.
More than a weekend together.
Sleeping in Bunk Beds-
The whole shebang!

Moose Mania is Purely evident every where!

Cute critters around every corner.

10  Days of  YUM YUM !

50 lbs of wild Alaskan Seafood to take home,
along with
and scary story as a whale decided to surface underneath the boat.

Lost the function of one propeller....

Remember the church above...

Thank you God for keeping them safe
 in the ocean
 2 1/2 hours from shore.

Super pod of Orca whales.

Seward harbor.
Resurrection Bay....
named because they woke up here
on Easter Morning after a storm.

God is every where : )

Head to toe Beauty.
We fell in love with the flat rocks.

Keeping it Real at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.

So fun to watch them up close.

No wonder we love bears.

Riding the costal trail in Anchorage

Fishing the Russian River
with Great Aunt Sandy

Hope they remember this.

Necessary Nap Time

Mom and Pop of the whole bunch.

We will remember.

We did not see it all but what we did see was Beautiful.

Sunset view from my Brother and wife's apartment.

Day time view.
Sleeping lady in the distance

This is at 11:30 p.m.
The sun is finally setting but it won't really be "dark" for several more hours.

Honestly I didn't get a lot of sleep in Alaska.
I don't think it is ever really dark in the summer ...
It is not like Iowa dark.

The last frontier....

We came home but my husband said,
"if he were 20 yrs old he might not have".

It was an honor to meet you
 in all of your glory.

Worth every penny!
