Considering all things Pumpkin.... Lets be THANKFUL!

                  Today is..... NOVEMBER 24...... UMBELIEVABLE.

Thanksgiving for my family is TOMORROW!   The cooking and cleaning frenzy has begun.  For the first year ever I have  broken the rule ... Thanksgiving first then Christmas.   I have Mostly Fall things still out but the Christmas decorating has begun.  Shocking!!!  One big tree up, a few little trees and some garland hung.  And I am pleasantly surprised how good that makes me feel.   Since we have snow on the ground... maybe that gives me an excuse.  Please don't poo- poo me too much if you think I'm rushing into Christmas and minimizing Thanksgiving... That is not it at all.  With the lights on the trees, the house feels extra cozy with a dose of love for my Thanksgiving guests. Thanksgiving is still front and center but my soul has softened.   As Mikey says.... "Try it you'll like it".   Thanksgiving is a lifestyle..... not One day.  Christmas is about the Love of the Savior everyday... Not one Day.   Each day matters.  Each day is a gift to be celebrated.  In a world that is crazy confused....  What happens at HOME is important.  Creating Home is important.

Enjoy the moments of each day ..... life is short.

The days just go so fast around here,  I have a hard time keeping up.  Feels really good to be a little bit ahead of things.  Next week will be major chaos as I shift totally into Christmas gear.  But for now still holding on to the last little bit of Autumn Yum, creating cozy spaces and just thinking a little differently about how I want to live my life.   No one seems upset that there is a Christmas tree up here in November.  They are all clapping!!!!  Who doesn't like twinkling lights ???  I have put a lot of stress on myself over the years to make it all happen in a short period of time.   This year things are different and my heart is smiling.

So gather your flock together.  Now is the time to EAT  PIE,  Mashed potatoes, turkey,  stuffing.
Be thankful and let the love flow to those near and dear.  It is All Good!!!!

 The Amazing Pumpkin Pie delight
Countdown has begun....

My mouth is watering just thinking about eating this.
Forget the turkey
just give me the PIE!

It will be going in the oven as soon as I am done posting this.

I hope you need to make a quick grocery run yet
before the big day.
Do you like cheesecake?????
Pick up the ingredients for this pie!

I promise you
this recipe beats any Pumpkin Pie hands down.

YUM -Delicious
PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE

2 graham cracker crusts

3Packages of Neufchatel Cream Cheese
1 (15 oz ) can pureed Pumpkin
3 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 containers of Cool whip !!!!!!

Preheat oven to 350*

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add Pumpkin puree, eggs, egg yolk, sour cream
sugar and the spices.  Add flour and vanilla.  Beat until well combined.

Pour into crusts. Spread out evenly.  Bake for 50-55 min until cracks start to form around outer edge of pie.  Center of pie will still appear slightly under done.  Allow to cool completely then refrigerate.

Pile on the Cool Whip and enjoy!

Thank you Paula Deen for the recipe.

Spices in the recipe have been modified because we like more : )

ENJOY the Blessings of Family and good Food!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My heart overflows with gratitude for
everything God has provided for us through another year.

I love to read your posts, you know what's important and how to write it in words. I love that you have the lights up....I wish I did ! When the kids were little and before I knew what love and grace was extended to me, I told the kids the Christmas tree represents the wood the cross Jesus hung from was made of, the star- is the star the wise men followed, the lights- because Jesus is the light of the world, the gifts- are like the gifts they brought to him because he was most important like my little kids were. l Have a blessed Thanksgiving my friend and my prayer for you today is Numbers 6: 24-26
